1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1.
CHECK-IN Y CHECK-OUT TIME
Check-In: 15:00 Horus
Check-Out: 12:00 Horus
1.2. EARLY CHECK-IN
We are pleased to allow you to check-in before the scheduled time, however, it is subject to the Hotel's availability at the time of your arrival. If you wish to guarantee that the room will be available at the time of your arrival, we recommend that you reserve the room one night prior to your actual arrival date.
1.3. LATE CHECK-OUT
We are pleased that you wish to extend your stay, however, late check-out is subject to availability. Late Check-Out times and additional charges are as follows:
From 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm: $ 252.000 VAT included.
After 6:00 pm: Full rate of the reserved room.
1.4. EARLY DEPARTURE
Early departure before the scheduled date of your reservation will generate a penalty charge. In case of early check-out before the departure date stipulated in the reservation, a 20% charge will be applied to the Flexi rate and a 50% charge will be applied to the Semi Flexi rate of the stay or rate established for the days of the reservation.
1.5. NO SHOW
The hotel will charge the No Show (Failure to comply with the reservation) in case of no show on the scheduled day of check in. In Flexi rate, 20% of the first night of the reservation will be charged and in Semi Flexi rate, 50% of the total stay will be charged.
1.6 ACCOMMODATIONS
The hotel does not sell triple accommodations, it sells double accommodations plus additional person (The additional person is provided with an extra bed measuring 1.00 x 2.00 Meters).
Children from 13 years old must pay as an additional adult person according to the plan booked.
2. RATES POLICIES.
2.1. FLEXI RATE
- Allows cancellations or modifications up to 24 hours in low season and 48 hours in high season before the Check In date, without penalty charge.
- Payment of the reservation. To guarantee the reservation, it is necessary to confirm with the prepayment of 100% of the stay.
- In case of cancellation or modification outside the indicated times, the client expressly accepts the penalty of 20% of the first night of the reservation.
2.2. SEMI FLEXI RATE
- Cancellations or modifications are allowed up to 7 calendar days in low season and 14 calendar days in high season before the Check In date, without penalty.
- Payment of the reservation. To guarantee the reservation, it is necessary to confirm with the prepayment of 100% of the stay.
- In case of cancellation or modification outside the indicated times, the client expressly accepts the penalty of 50% of the stay.
3. BOOKING CANCELLATIONS

4. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
You can exercise your right of withdrawal only in non-face-to-face purchases made on our website www.hotellasamericas.com.co or in the telephone reservation center. The request must be made to the email reservas@lasamericashg.com, within five (5) business days after the confirmation of the purchase. If the date of payment is before five days, the right of withdrawal will not proceed. Once the request is received, we will refund the full value of the money without discounts or withholdings within a maximum period of 30 calendar days from your request. We will do it by bank consignment to the holder of the reservation or by credit card reversal.
5. MINORS REGISTRATION
If you are traveling with your child(ren) under 18 years of age, you must present the identification document of the minor(s) (civil registry), which proves the existence of the relationship. If the minor(s) is not traveling in the company of his/her parents, you must present at the reception desk, in addition to the minor's identification document (civil registry), the parents' permission, which must be authenticated by a Notary Public and accompanied by a copy of the identification document of those who gave the authorization. Without this documentation, minors will not be allowed to enter the hotel. The above is in accordance with the provisions of Law 679 of 2001, Statute to Prevent Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents.
6. CARD FRAUD CONTROL.
To protect credit/debit card holders from fraud, the guest must present at check-in: 1) the credit/debit card used to make the online reservation and 2) physical ID of the card holder.
The Hotel reserves the right to refuse the guest at check-in for not complying with this requirement.
The Hotel may cancel a confirmed reservation, if it is suspected that a fraudulent card has been used, therefore, the cardholder of the card to be used as a means of guarantee, must be the same that makes the reservation and enjoy the services of the Hotel. Otherwise, it is necessary to contact our Reservations Department by e-mail: reservas@lasamericashg.com or by phone 57-605-6723344 / 57-605-6930592 in the city of Cartagena, for validation.
7. 19% OF IVA
The 19% IVA is charged to residents in Colombia. Customers NOT residing in Colombia, who make the purchase of tourist packages or plans, may apply to the VAT exemption, pursuant to the provisions of Article 481 of the Tax Statute, as amended by Article 55 of Law 1607 of 2012, regulated by Decree 297 of 2016.
For the application of the exemption, foreigners and nationals who enter the national territory without the intention of settling in Colombia and who prove such condition are considered residents abroad.
The foreigner residing abroad must prove his condition by presenting the original passport; the Andean card or the Mercosur card proving his migratory status with the valid stamp of the Entry and Stay Permit PIP-3, or PIP-5, or PIP-6, or PIP-10; or the valid Temporary Visa TP-7, or TP-11, or TP-12; depending on the purpose of the resident abroad to enter the country without the intention of settling in it.
The national will accredit his condition of resident abroad, through the presentation of the documentation issued by the authorities of the country of residence.
8. SMOKING PREVENTION POLICY
In accordance with Law 1335 of 2009, smoking is prohibited in rooms, public areas, restaurants and lounges. The rooms of Hotel Las Americas are 100% smoke-free spaces, so it is forbidden to consume or have any tobacco product lit inside them. Failure to comply with this restriction will result in a charge to the room for the equivalent of three (3) times the current minimum daily wage, for disinfection of the linen and the room.
9. PET POLICY
At Hotel Las Americas we welcome guests traveling with their pets and / or service animal, who are allowed entry in accordance with the Policy for Handling Pets, assistance dog, guide, service or other emotional support animal POL-HALO-003 published on the website www.hotellasamericas.com.co/politica-perro-de-asistencia-u-otro-animal-de-apoyo-emocional. For the entry of the pet, the guest must fill out and sign the entry register, pay the additional fee informed and always comply with the provisions contained in the policy and the law.
10. ANTI-CORRUPTION AND ANTI-FRAUD POLICY
The activities of Hotel Las Americas are carried out within the legal framework, professionalism and ethics, so we have established adequate measures to prevent and detect any corrupt or dishonest practice or conduct that may occur in the scope of our activities that threatens business integrity, promoting a culture of ethics and transparency.
11. DECLARATION OF ORIGIN OF FUNDS AND POLICY FOR THE PREVENTION OF MONEY LAUNDERING AND FINANCING OF TERRORISM.
Hotel Las Americas is committed to the fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism, complying with the regulations on prevention and control of money laundering, financing of terrorism and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and/or in situations or commissions of crimes sources of the variables mentioned above that are applicable, having implemented the policies, procedures and strategies of prevention and control derived from such regulations.
Consequently, our clients are committed to guarantee that their resources come from lawful activities and are obliged to implement measures to prevent their operations from being used without their knowledge and consent as instruments for the concealment, management, investment or use in any form of money or other assets from criminal activities or to give the appearance of legality to these activities.
In this sense, the client acknowledges that Hotel Las Americas has the right to carry out the verifications it considers pertinent and to terminate any commercial or legal relationship, if it verifies that the client is on binding, restrictive and informative lists for the control of money laundering, financing of terrorism and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, as well as to make reports to the authorities in order to avoid the use of the client's transactions as an instrument for the concealment, management, investment or exploitation in any form of money or other goods originating from criminal activities or to give the appearance of legality to these activities.
At the moment of entering and guaranteeing the reservation, it will imply the acceptance of the present terms and conditions, without the need of a conventional signature.
